Connecting 3/32 fuel tank fitting to 1/8 tubing for gas eng.

OK gotta use a standard size fuel tank with 3/32 fittings but my engine needs 1/8 tubing to connect. How do I connect the 1/8 tubing to the 3/32 brass tubing?

Solder a small section of 1/8" brass tubing (maybe 1/4" long) over the end of the 3/32" tubing.

However, are you sure you don't need 1/8" tubing all the way into the tank to ensure adequate fuel supply to your engine?

Fuel tank tubing.

After thinking about this for a minute I believe all tanks come with 1/8" tubing and you need to solder a piece of 5/32" (1/8" ID) tubing over the end of it for a tight fit for the 1/8" ID gas line tubing. Still thinking that maybe you need 5/32" (1/8" ID) tubing all the way into the tank to ensure fuel supply. Don't forget to upgrade the internal pickup to a gas resistant line also.

I know you're done with the plane now but you can solder the larger fuel barb onto the smaller brass pipe to change the size.
As far as gas engines go, the DA50, for example, uses less fuel than my Saito 1.20. I would say 20%-30% less. But it also has a pump and you don't want to starve it so use the adapter to get the Tygon tube on and you'll be fine if all you have is a short piece of brass that has a smaller diameter.
I have also soldered larger tube onto the smaller tube. For those that don't know, get the silver solder, it holds up better.
